The Great Civil War Debate


Many of us wonder why and how our nation got to where it is at today. How did we go from being "One Nation Under God" to being a society where anything goes? How did our government go from being a balanced power to becoming a big brother who is always watching us no matter what we are doing?

Although there were people on both sides of the conflict during the Civil War who were fighting for what was right, what was the outcome? Although the Civil War freed slaves, it had dramatic effects on the principles and laws that govern our land. You have to ask yourself is it okay to break or stretch the law to accomplish a good thing. At the time it seemed harmless enough, but in the long run, we are all suffering from it.
